Blue Skies Clear Cloudy Mindsets

Winters in Western Pennsylvania sometimes seem like they will never end. This winter alone, we have seen snowstorms and negative temperatures. Although the snow may be beautiful, it can also be deadly, and I am not just talking about the road conditions.
Seasonal depression, also known as SAD, is a very common disorder. If you are a Pennsylvania native, it is probably safe to say that SAD has affected you at some point in your life.
In a college town, where binge drinking is prevalent, it is important to talk about mental health. Especially when we have just gotten off of nearly a year of isolation from the world. Seasonal Depression hits about 5% of the United States population every year and is the main age range of those who are affected are in their 20s and 30s.
I went on and off campus to see how the young members of the community were feeling on a day like today.
