The Slippery Rock Farmer's Market, located at Gateway Park, downtown Slippery Rock, operates Saturday mornings May through October every year.
Mornings at the market are usually full of foot traffic! From 9:00 AM to noon, you can interact with local business owners and shop from a variety of vendors and seasonal products. From handcrafted jewelry and ceramics, handpicked flowers and produce, and homemade breads and pastries, there is something at the market for everyone to enjoy!
Some of these vendors do accept card or online payments, but be sure to bring cash so that you are not limited with your purchases!
When you shop at the farmer's market, your funds go directly back to the people in our community. According to the Farmer's Market Coalition, supporting your local farmer's market helps stimulate the local economy, enhance healthy community relationships, promote sustainability, and increase a community's access to healthy and nutritious food.
What sets Slippery Rock's market apart from the average farmer's market is the live entertainment and planned activities for children. The weekly market is sponsored by Slippery Rock Development and is mostly dependent on volunteers from the community.
With the exception of Village Fest Weekend, the market will be open to all every Saturday until the last market of the year is announced in October.
Wake up and conquer the weekend by doing some local shopping and enjoying the atmosphere volunteers in Slippery Rock work so hard to create.
