For the past 19 years, the town of Slippery Rock has been coming together for a weekend event they call VillageFest! The festival is brought to the town by North Country Brewing Company, but has been made possible with the help of many local sponsors.
Friday evening, to warm up for the big event, Slippery Rock and Slippery Rock University collaborated to bring musical guests, The Clarks, to town! Community members and university students were invited to campus to enjoy a variety of food trucks before the concert.
On Saturday, downtown Slippery Rock was a busy destination. Main Street was closed off and hundreds of vendors lined the store fronts. Local community organizations with tables, local restaurants with tents, and a variety of craft and novelty vendors. Live music filled the air, along with the sweet smells, and light conversations.
Kiddos were kept entertained with inflatables set up at Gateway Park along with various games and activities!
